How Gamification Can Transform Your Business and Win You Better Engagement Today.

Technology is highly adaptive, and there are new methods of increasing engagement, improving internal communication, and implementing new ways of thinking entering the market. Gamification is one of the technologies that are exploding in popularity and can change how your business thinks, communicates, and trains employees.

Today, we will be exploring everything you need to know about gamification and how to implement it within your business.

What is Gamification?

Gamification refers to the strategic attempt to implement elements of game playing, including point-scoring, rewards, and challenges to encourage greater engagement with your business and the products or services you offer.

Gamification is mighty as it provides incentives for individuals to complete tasks and pay attention to your brand.

How can Gamification Help your Business?

Gamification is all about driving better engagement for your business. Gamification can revolutionize your business in training new employees, security training, and upskilling current employees. Gamification is a powerful tool for improving employee engagement, retaining intellectual capital and for encouraging hard work and subsequently helping to retain stellar talent.

Gamification can also improve student retention of digital course theory and improve internal communication of updates, product learning, and other complex subjects.

Gamification can also be used to boost engagement with your customers. You can use gamification elements to create an interactive and memorable marketing experience for prospects, leading to greater conversions for your business.

The 3P’s of Gamification:

Gamification is used to influence people and facilitates long-term employee and student engagement. Your gamification strategy needs to encompass the 3 Points (3P’s) of gamification to succeed.

Pleasure – Your gamification strategy needs to foster pleasure for users. Rewards, social proof and challenges are ways to celebrate hard work and retention, which can cause users to associate a positive emotion with your gamification initiative. Omnicare combated long wait times by motivating their customer support time with game-based elements like rewards and points. They were rewarded with Amazon gift cards, and customer wait times were cut in half.

Pedagogy- refers to the method of teaching. The gamification pedagogy involves being interactive and facilitating user participation to generate better results.

Performance – Using a points system or other rewards method can highlight the performers of users. Using friendly competition can motivate employees to engage more with complex concepts.

Hendrick Automotive Group used a social news feed and leaderboards to measure employee performance within their e-learning system, which was widely successful.

Incorporating the 3P’s into your gamification strategy will set you up with a gamification method that fosters better engagement and improves employee training and outcomes.

Implementing Gamification for your Business:

Now that you have a deeper understanding of gamification and how it can revolutionize your business, you may wonder how to implement it within your business. It’s essential to consider the following steps:

  • Ensure your gamification strategy aligns with your business objectives.
  • Decide how you will implement the 3P’s within your gamification strategy.
  • Design a winning, visually-pleasing gamification system that encourages employees to participate.
  • Generate buzz around the launch of the system.
  • Release the system, reward your employees, and mentor them in the system’s continued use.

Everything You Need to Know About Ideation https://creageen.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-ideation/ https://creageen.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-ideation/#respond Wed, 10 Nov 2021 11:39:39 +0000 https://creageen.com/?p=1665

“One idea lights a thousand candles.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

As the name suggests, ideation is the process of generating new ideas. It’s a great way to develop new solutions for problems or challenges, but it can be difficult to get started. The good news is that there are many tools and techniques available for ideation, allowing you to find inspiration anywhere. Let’s get into it.

In Simple Terms: What Is Ideation All About?

Ideation is the ability to bring new and/or different ideas, objects, or actions into existence. Ideation can be thought of as a process that starts with an ‘association’, which triggers an ‘idea’. The creator then works on this idea, leading to modifications in the original idea, but still preserving some aspects of a said original idea. “Ideation” refers to creating ideas.

How To Encourage Ideation in The Workplace

It’s not enough to have an idea; you also need to evaluate it and then pitch it to your desired target, which is what successful innovators are so good at. But the essential step in the process of bringing ideas into being is Ideation and brainstorming – that’s where new ideas come from. There are many different ways for employees and managers alike to encourage Ideation in the workplace.

Still, if you want your business or company to thrive, you’ll need a culture where people feel comfortable taking risks and trying new things.

Here are 7 tips for making sure your organization encourages innovation:

1. Allow time and space

One of the most basic and often overlooked methods for promoting Ideation is to provide employees with adequate time and space to give their best. This includes having enough time for their work to process their thoughts and materials in a creative way at the end of the day. You can also allow your employees time during or after work hours for creative endeavors such as hobbies or arts & crafts. Ideation also shows up when your brain is engaged in the present moment and connecting two things together while in a relaxed state (in the car while you drive while taking a shower…)

2. Ideation

Ideation refers to any thinking that generates ideas. This can be done individually or in groups but usually involves discussions about what might be possible and what needs to happen in order for this goal to come true. It is an integral part of forming solutions and solving problems in organizations where innovation may not be happening, at least not regularly.

Tools are marvelous to support idea generation within a company, but you also need to put in action the process to collect, analyze, and manage them effectively.

3. Offer incentives

If there is a task or project that needs doing, consider offering an incentive for the team members who do it best. This does not have to be financial, but can also come in the form of time off from work, recognition from managers and peers, or any other reward that has a kind of meaning to the individual.

Even if those incentives could be linked with a much more legal part such as Patent creation remuneration, making sure the process within your company is settled and known, encouraging ideation is the best way to proceed.

4. Encourage risk-taking

If your employees feel as though they are limited in what they can do, it will be difficult for them to take risks and explore new ideas. This is because they are worried about not being supported if something fails or doesn’t work out as well as expected. Make sure to have a culture of openness where employees feel supported in taking risks and learning from any mistakes that they may encounter.

5. Improve communication

Better communication is a key factor in promoting Ideation because it means that everyone is on the same page about what needs to be done before starting a project or task and how it should be done.

Innovation and Ideation must be part of a well-communicated strategy to allow enthusiasm at all levels. Also, resources and processes that allow for feedback need to be set up and shared with all team members to avoid having a confusing black box.

6. Create a sense of community

Not only does it help for employees to be familiar with one another, but also the different roles and projects they are working on. A sense of community can be formed by having regular meetings or social events where every employee is present. This helps reinforce the teamwork aspect of creative problem-solving.

It would be good to involve people from different departments with different profiles to bring diversity to the forefront and break the natural barriers that can be found within rigidly structured organizations.

7. Promote leadership

Leaders can also be important drivers for encouraging Ideation within an organization because they say what needs to happen and make it so. This encourages employees to become more creative with their problem-solving processes to achieve the company’s goals. Influential leaders know the importance of delegating work and encouraging employees to participate in projects by asking their opinions. This way, employees have a sense of ownership over the project or task at hand and will be more likely to go that extra mile.

CreaGreen can help your team brainstorm better

Ideation is directly linked with a Creative session. The two together can be a powerful tool for businesses of all sizes that can be fostered and improved with practice. New Ways of Working a Remote Solution to Reimagining Life and Work Balance https://creageen.com/new-ways-of-working-a-remote-solution-to-reimagining-life-and-work-balance/ https://creageen.com/new-ways-of-working-a-remote-solution-to-reimagining-life-and-work-balance/#respond Wed, 20 Oct 2021 14:12:02 +0000 https://creageen.com/?p=1657

Engaging the hearts, minds, and hands of talent is the most sustainable source of competitive advantage.”

Greg Harris

Organizations today recognize the importance and need for a healthy work environment in creating positive outcomes.

Creating an environment and culture that supports employee health, wellness, and creativity allows them to thrive and feel fulfilled, helping them stay physically and mentally fit.

Changes to how we work and live, our dependence on digital interactions, and the increasing demand for work/life balance have led to new ways of working.

Companies that fail to adapt to these new ways of working will find it challenging to attract and retain new employees or create a sustainable competitive advantage in a fast-paced digitized world.

Companies need to think outside their current or traditional workspaces to create healthy working environments. Here’s where to start.

Office Design

With a return to the office on the cards, now is the perfect time for companies to reimagine how workspace affects employees.

The space teams work in effect both their productivity and sense of purpose. Office design is about creating spaces that facilitate creativity and productivity.

While office design can incorporate things like seating, lighting, colors, and even biophilic design to increase connectivity to the natural environment, it is ultimately there to fulfill the needs of the people doing the work.

Staff Wellness

It’s no secret that how happy, fulfilled, and engaged employees are, is directly linked to business results and success. Prioritizing wellness in the workplace is no longer something that can be brushed aside. Changes to the way we work have placed a spotlight on employee health, happiness and purpose.

Companies need to recognize there is no one size fits all solution to improving staff wellness. It’s about gaining a holistic view of the employees and understanding which changes to company culture will significantly impact and improve their wellbeing.

Adapting to Digitalization

As more companies undergo digital transformations, the success of these changes relies on employees understanding and using new technologies and innovations.

With technology’s role in business success continuing to grow, companies must empower employees with the skills they need to adapt to digitization.

Creating dialogues, encouraging collaboration and engagement, investing in training for all employees (including executives), and allowing people to experiment with new digital tech helps reduce the skills gap and resistance to adapting to the new ways of working.

Easier Internal Communication

Boosting internal communication can help nurture company culture and build solid engagement. The health of a workplace environment and, in turn, the company can usually be judged by the level of internal communication. The ease with which employees share information affects morale, collaboration, and creativity.

Putting in place an effective internal communications strategy can help build a cohesive company culture. One that leads to increased productivity, better transparency, and how valued employees feel.

Role Transitions

The New Ways of Working in a dynamic and agile arena require companies to make the most of internal movements. Supporting employees and managers during a transition to a higher-level or more challenging position is crucial in making the change a success.

With new social dynamics to consider, expectations for the role, and the knock-on effect felt throughout the company. Supporting role transitions have become more critical in making promotions sustainable.

This support can come in various forms, such as working with employees on a transition plan to get them up to speed, helping them let go of a previous role, providing training on soft skills, and the importance of networking in a leadership position.

Creativity, the New Productivity https://creageen.com/creativity-the-new-productivity/ https://creageen.com/creativity-the-new-productivity/#respond Thu, 23 Sep 2021 16:31:14 +0000 https://creageen.com/?p=1608

“Creativity is contagious. Pass it on“.

Albert Einstein

Productivity has been a key focus of humanity for centuries. But tremendous leaps in technology, globalization, and the hastily changing work landscape have shifted our collective attention to creativity as the new driver of change and competitive advantage.

The focus of productivity has always been to improve the way we work – to produce a greater outcome. Passing on or eliminating specific tasks through productivity improvements allowed us to fill newly freed time with new tasks. And so, the cycle of human productivity being a valuable commodity continued.

In recent decades the rise of technology, the IoT (Internet of Things), artificial intelligence, and algorithms have launched humanity into a new era of productivity.

For businesses, this means investing in a machine or an algorithm is a better bet to improve productivity than hiring and training a human to do the same job.

Sophisticated digital technologies are now the main drivers of gains in productivity and efficiencies.

In today’s business market, creativity is proving to be a crucial ingredient for business growth. Business leaders now recognize the need to support creativity to solve complex problems, generate new ideas, and exploit opportunities.

To stay competitive in a technologically disruptive and rapidly changing global market, companies are encouraging a culture of creativity, one in which the creative process is center stage.

The effective mix of technology and workspace environments that encourage employees to engage and explore solutions are reshaping offices around the globe.

This economic shift has led to an opportunity for employees, although creative expression can be daunting for some. It’s important to remember that every person can contribute to creative thinking regardless of role or position.

This new demand for creative talent is behind changes in the way companies recruit new employees. Millennials are bringing new ideas for self-expression and creativity into the workplace. In response, companies are attracting creative professionals by encouraging self-discovery, a fluid work process, and even failures to fill creative skills shortages.

It’s safe to say we are now firmly in the era of creativity.  For employees, focusing on creative reinvention will prove to be a rewarding path for their careers and well-being. For businesses, creative thinking is how they will turn obstacles into advantages.

It’s vital to support individuals and teams through the creative process. Enabling creativity in the workplace will allow employees to collaborate, innovate, and find more effective solutions.

Why it’s Time to Start Embracing 3D and Video Content if you Want Eyes on Your Brand https://creageen.com/why-its-time-to-start-embracing-3d-and-video-content-if-you-want-eyes-on-your-brand/ https://creageen.com/why-its-time-to-start-embracing-3d-and-video-content-if-you-want-eyes-on-your-brand/#respond Wed, 08 Sep 2021 11:54:34 +0000 https://creageen.com/?p=1598

The play button is the most compelling call-to-action on the web.”

– Michael Litt

It’s no secret that the popularity of video content has been trending upward for many years. However, travel restrictions, lockdowns, and the work from home revolution have accelerated the importance and impact of video content for businesses, both internally for employees and externally for customers.

We’ve moved on from the saying a picture is worth a thousand words to the new adage that a video is worth a thousand pictures.

As predominantly visual creatures, humans respond better to visual elements when it comes to transmitting information, improving comprehension, and retaining data for longer.

It only makes sense then that businesses start focusing on using 3D visuals and Video as a more dynamic way to capture a potential buyer’s attention.

Companies can utilize 3Dimensional (3D) visuals to improve and enhance visual communication cost-effectively, to easily showcase concepts of any complexity while also setting themselves apart from the competition.

Using 3D Video to explain complex technical topics or innovative solutions is a more effective way to support sales teams when selling new or ‘invisible’ concepts. If seeing is believing, then using Video to sell scenarios and solutions is a smart way to remove doubt, eliminate confusion, and squash potential objections before they even arise.

The benefits of video content are not only limited to external communication with customers but can also be used internally for employees. Companies can use videos to transform communication into an indispensable tool.

Using videos as an internal communication tool offers several benefits to businesses. It can add an extra element to meetings and, in some cases, replace meetings altogether.

They can help remote workers feel more included by adding a personalized touch. They are accessible on any device and can be watched multiple times, allowing for effective company-wide communication.

Internal videos can be used and shared in various ways, including recruitment videos, onboarding videos, company announcements, and corporate training videos. Helping to add a new dimension to these traditionally formal communications.

Aside from all the above benefits, videos have another stand-out feature compared to text or pictures alone. When it comes to conveying emotions and telling stories, few mediums can compare.

Unlike other communication methods, videos are a multisensory experience helping make them more compelling than images or text alone. When used correctly, videos can be highly effective at creating long-term associations with a brand for employees and customers, with the additional potential of been accessible via a myriad of ways on websites, social media platforms, digital advertising, newsletters, to name a few.

Creating relatable videos that inspire can help your business tap into human emotion to establish a personal connection with your audience. If your business isn’t using videos to inspire, educate, connect, and engage with people, it might be time to rethink your digital strategy.

Thriving on Healthy Internal Communication Habits https://creageen.com/thriving-on-healthy-internal-communication-habits/ https://creageen.com/thriving-on-healthy-internal-communication-habits/#respond Wed, 04 Aug 2021 15:58:29 +0000 https://creageen.com/?p=1585 A very successful company thrives on the power of teamwork.

A team is often described as a tree that needs nourishment in order to grow stronger and produce productive results. Therefore, we must encourage and build a work culture where employees trust, respect, and motivate each other and it all starts with effective internal communication.

At moments internal communication is overlooked, underestimated, or even non-existent within company teams, even though it is one of the key factors in team cohesion and performance.

In this article, we share our three reasons why internal communication is a key growth factor for everyone at any company, whether big or small.

1. It Enhances Your Corporate Culture

People view the organization as an extension of themselves.

In other words, it all starts within them, their day-to-day life, the way the company views them, treats them, and the values it conveys to them.

Internal communication becomes mandatory in order to approach all of its employees and bring this culture to life on a daily basis. The objective is to promote a strong feeling of belonging in a holistic way.

Good internal communication also means making employees and collaborators understand what they work for every day. It enhances the company’s vision, values, and objectives.

These elements give meaning to any effort, and any action. The company becomes part of a specific goal, a cause that will make team members proud and determined.

In other words, they will only be more involved and motivated! A good internal communication strategy is a long-term commitment to excellence and encourages the healthy habit of engaging in feedback and exchange of ideas, leading to focused and productive discussions.

2. It Improves the Quality of Work Life

Insomnia, anxiety, stress, many factors affect employees today – and now more than ever a healthy working environment is essential to both well-being and productivity, because yes, the two are undeniably linked.

It’s the work environment that determines whether your employees are going to be staying for many years to come, or leaving as soon as they get a slightly better opportunity.

Internal communication plays a crucial role in establishing a good work environment, incorporating a different dimension to any workspace, and enhancing the quality of work life. This also allows for clearer and constructive thinking in the event of a crisis, providing a more beneficial approach towards its management.

3. It Drives Growth

There is no secret: Happy Employees = Happy Company.

Yet only the most successful companies have made internal communication one of their main priorities.

They understood that good internal communication is a virtuous circle, in which employees are engaged and involved in their work, where good relations between colleagues and departments make the strength of the company.

How can internal communication lead to motivation, and ultimately to improved productivity and company growth? The answer is ultimately in the question: when we are motivated we are simply more productive, more cooperative, in better shape, in better health, more creative, and more positive.

In short…

Internal communication is an essential link in your overall corporate strategy. It is, along with the employees, a beating heart, a driving force for the company at all levels, and it requires mobilizing both the right tools and the right people to reveal its full potential!

What’s the next step?

Now that you are convinced of the value of internal communication, it is important to build a strategy adapted to the identity of your company. But before that, it is essential to take a step back and understand the current internal communication of your company.

At CreaGeen we help you test the maturity of your internal communication and take it to the next level with different workshops and training tailored to your needs.

We customize the proper training program, aligned with an external approach, and we mentor staff members on the basics and best practices for the use of digital tools when constructing success stories showcasing the company values, and milestones.
